HOT AIR BALLOON STEAM PROJECT

June 20-23
10 A.M. to 1 P.M.

Perfect project for students with analytical as well as creative leanings!  Explore the physics and artistry involved in the design, construction, and flying of your own tissue paper hot air balloon! 
Intended for students in 5th through 12th grade.

READING FUN!-DAMENTALS

June 27-30
10 A.M. to 12 P.M.
$150 per week for this session

Want to keep your young ones engaged in reading over the summer in a way that keeps them excited?  We will play word games, read tongue twisters and limericks, make our own comic books, as well as lots of other fun activities.  Activities will be adjusted based on the ages of students enrolled.
Intended for K-5 students.

GLASSICAL MUSIC

July 11-14
10 A.M. to 1 P.M.

The music you like might be different from what your parents listen to.  Like any trend, music preferences and styles change over time.  Come learn how math was used to determine what music sounded “good” throughout the ages, and perform some simple tunes in an ensemble of wine glasses.  Geared toward middle- and early high-schoolers.

PUPPET ARTS EXPLORATION

August 1-4
12:30 to 3:30 P.M.

What comes to mind when you hear the word “puppets”?  The Muppets?  Marionettes? Sock puppets?  Puppetry Arts include those and so much more!  Shadow puppets, life-size wearable puppets, masks….   Explore various types of puppetry and try your hand at making a few simple puppets.

TI-NKERING WITH THE TI-84

High School: August 1-4

9 A.M. to 12 P.M.

Middle School: August 8-11

12:30 to 3:30 P.M.

You may have solved math problems with the TI-84, but have you used it to control a rover, play a song, or design a small light display?  Come learn more about the calculator you’ll use in your high school studies while also learning the basics of coding and exploring some mathematical applications you observe in your everyday life.

FOUNDATIONS OF AP BIOLOGY

August 8-11
9 A.M. to 12 P.M.

Feeling anxious about taking AP Biology this coming school year?  The rigor of this course is a significant jump even for historically high-achieving students, particularly if they have not had a prerequisite high school biology course.  Come get yourself ready to maintain that high grade point average and score high on the AP test by getting key foundational content, a big picture view of the course as a whole, practice with exam question format, and strategies for understanding and studying the most challenging content.

GEAR UP FOR SENIOR YEAR

August 15-19
9 A.M. to 12 P.M.
Geared toward rising seniors!

Senior year is an exciting time full of hope but also of stress!  Help ease that stress by getting a jump start on college searches, essays, applications, and resumes.  This session will allow students an opportunity to get individualized feedback and support on these important requirements ahead of time so that they can better enjoy their final year.
